With our 20th anniversary as Global Lead Partner of Frieze well under way, the international art world turns its attention to New York City.

This year’s edition will host over 60 galleries from 27 countries, showcasing some of the most important contemporary artists working today. In keeping with a city in a constant state of flux, Frieze New York will also throw the spotlight on emerging voices making their mark, reflecting the fair’s mission of discovery.

New York-based exhibitors include 303 Gallery, Alexander Gray Associates, Andrew Kreps Gallery, David Zwirner, Gagosian, Hauser & Wirth and Karma. A strong international line-up will feature Esther Schipper, Gallery Hyundai, Thaddeus Ropac and White Cube, amongst others. The Focus section of the fair, dedicated to galleries under 12 years old, will show solo presentations from over 10 galleries including Capsule Shanghai, Daniel Faria Gallery and Lomex.

The Deutsche Bank Wealth Management Lounge: female artists take centre stage

This year, our lounge is in the heart of the fair and we will be pulling back the curtain on a special selection of works from the Deutsche Bank Collection. The photo-based portraits on display will feature a diversity of images created by female artists.

Each of these artists has a distinctive aesthetic, but all the works are bound by a unifying theme of powerful storytelling through visage and the physical body. Today, works from the Deutsche Bank Collection grace the walls of over 600 Deutsche Bank offices and branches worldwide.

Frieze Viewing Room and Art:LIVE: making art accessible to all

Our decades-long passion for contemporary art has coincided with advances in technology that have enabled audiences to connect with art in all kinds of new ways. In partnership with Frieze, we’ve been at the forefront of this, with both Frieze Viewing Room and Art:LIVE establishing themselves as vital ways for art lovers to stay connected with the art world online.

Frieze Viewing Room is a powerful platform for exhibitors, enabling them to present works online before the fair begins. This year it opens on Wednesday, May 10 and closes on Monday, May 22.

Art:LIVE New York, created by Deutsche Bank in collaboration with Frieze Studios, is a unique way for audiences to experience the atmosphere of the fair and get closer to the key conversations. It will be broadcast on Sunday, May 21, and available on-demand on deutschewealth.com.

Frieze New York takes place at The Shed from May 17 – 21, 2023. Frieze Viewing Room is live from May 10 to May 22, 2023.

Art:LIVE will be available to watch on deutschewealth.com from Sunday, May 21.
