A proud motoring tradition endures in the 38th edition of this iconic 1000-mile race, with support from Deutsche Bank Wealth Management as Global Lead Partner.
Hundreds of classic and vintage cars assembled in Brescia, northern Italy, will soon start ‘the most beautiful race in the world’, the 1000 Miglia. Beginning on Thursday, October 22, the race will criss-cross Italy over four days on its route to Rome and back, returning to Brescia’s Viale Venezia on Sunday, October 25.
In the days building up to the race, participants have been welcomed to our hospitality area inside the paddock in Brescia, created and hosted by the Deutsche Bank Wealth Management events team. Here the drivers and their crews could enjoy refreshments and check out the other cars in the race, while their cars were scrutinised to meet the race’s strict entry criteria.
Unsurprisingly, the COVID-19 pandemic has required the race organisers to make a few changes this year. The event is taking place in autumn, rather than the May start in previous years. And to help share the event as widely as possible, while helping to manage the cheering crowds that usually line the route, the 1000 Miglia website will live stream the race’s start and finish for the first time.
It is a sign of the enduring passion for motor-racing that in a year marked by disruption and cancellations the ‘travelling museum’, as the race is known, has managed to keep moving.
