Speed, skill and sustainability

SailGP features sailing’s best athletes racing in identical F50 catamarans at record-breaking speeds approaching 100 km/h. It offers the speed and excitement of motor racing but is powered by nature.

The location

New York is the penultimate race of the season, making it a high-stakes venue for the leading teams. The race course will be in the middle of New York harbor, with the main viewing areas on Governor's Island. You can also watch the race live on CBS or at online – see below for details.

Rethinking performance, sustainably

At each Sail Grand Prix, the teams are awarded points not only for their race performance but also for projects designed to support environmental conservation and social progress.
